I am deeply saddened by the passing of charles. He was a big part of my life growing up. Sally was like a mother to me and her daughters were very special. A nd what can i say about David, my first love and someone thats in my heart. I am so sorry for such a great loss. For now hes with the ones he loves. Charles David Rigney, 76, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born August 2, 1934 in Scottown, Ohio son of the late Jasper and Ada Workman Rigney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sally Rigney and five siblings. He is survived by four daughters Bobbi Burcham of Lexington, KY, Charlotte Rigney- Saunders of Elk View, WV, Kathy Whitley of Chesapeake, Ohio and Jeanie Rigney of Proctorville, Ohio; three sons Charles David Rigney, II of Kenova, WV, Jack Rigney of Chesapeake, Ohio and David Gorby of Dayton, Ohio; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother Jackie "Jiggs" Rigney; one sister Pearl Pine of Proctorville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. He retired from Kinney Shoe Company and was also an antique dealer. He attended Jefferson Avenue Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Paul Farley and Pastor Greg Tomlinson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Jefferson Avenue Church of God Building Fund. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
