Tech Sgt. Robert Swinngan, 79, of Proctorville, Ohio husband of Minnie Scaggs Sowards Swinngan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was born on February 23, 1932. He retired from the military after 21 years 6 months and 29 days of service in the Air Force. He was the son of the late Elmer Swinngan and Cora Boyd Swinngan Conley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers and one daughter Connie Sowards Laney. He is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one son- in-law David Laney; two sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday March 26, 2011 at Resthaven Memorial Park Louisville, KY with burial to follow. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
