Judith Ann Marcum Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1947 - 2011 Judith (Judy) Ann Hayes Marcum 63 of Louisa met Jesus Christ face to face on Saturday April 30, 2011. Judy was born August 31, 1947 in Louisa. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Mildred Irene Moore Hayes. She was a retired teacher's assistant with the Lawrence County Board of Education and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 43 years Bernard Marcum, her son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Kristi Marcum of Catlettsburg, two precious granddaughters Holly Carolyn and Heidi Jayann, and a sister Evalena Cantrell of Louisa. Judy was a wonderful Christian for nearly 37 years who held firmly to her faith in the Power of her Savior. She enjoyed her array of summer flowers each year. She saw the greatest beauty of the Lord in the delicate creation of each flower she saw. She loved her family and enjoyed playing with and pampering her granddaughters. Judy was the Heart of the family and will be missed beyond words. A celebration of the woman she was will be held on Friday May 6th at 2:00pm at Catalpa Freewill Baptist Chruch in Louisa. Friends may call after 2:00pm Thursday at the church.

Curtis, I knew her well she is who I thought she was, she was precious and sweet. I spoke to her daily. Just know ours thoughts and prayers are with you.

Judy was such a good example to live by. I always enjoyed talking with her. Curtis, you had such a wonderful mother and i know you two were very close. Keep the faith and wait on the reunion. God bless you all.
