1929 - 2011
Cash Clark Wolfe of Huntington passed to a spiritual existence on May 8, 2011. As a surveyor of land and life, he wished it be known that his final coordinates on earth were: 38 degrees, 24 minutes, 44 seconds latitude and -82 degrees, 19 minutes, 22 seconds longitude. Clark was born in Huntington, WV, in 1929, the son of the late Cash and Ethel Wolfe. He was also preceded in death by his four siblings: Ralph Wolfe, Mary Wolfe Washington, Helen Wolfe Koontz, and Dorothy Wolfe Emmert. He served in the US Air Force for four years, including 18 months stationed in Morocco. He was a gas driller, house mover, real estate developer, surveyor, writer and poet. Clark also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 62, for over ten years. He was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Pea Ridge United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marlene A. Wolfe; son, Matthew C. Wolfe; granddaughter, Katherine E. Wolfe; and close family friend, Mary Sue Dameron. At his request, there will be no services and his ashes will be scattered in a few of his favorite spots in nature for that's where he felt closest to God. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV 25709 or www.hospiceofhuntington.org. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
