Jim was much more than a boss I had at Blue Cross, he was a very special friend that helped me through a lot of hard times. He will always be part of my memories and will be missed. I am so glad he found true love and had a family before it was his time to go. I know he was so happy. I am so sorry for your loss. Please keep in touch. God Bless you and the family. Sandy

Jim hired me at BCBS and I have always been truly grateful for that. He is the best boss I ever had. He always put us ahead of himself. He is a great friend and a gem. I miss you already.

I have fond memories of Jim. Even though he was somewhat older, we played baseball and army together not knowing that we would both serve our country later in life. I also have just had surgery for cancer and want to express my deepest sympathy to the Shile's family. He is a great guy who I will always remember. Sincerely, Col(Ret)Kevin R. Austin

Jim was an amazing boss and friend. I will always remember chats on the patio at work. I will always remember Jim asking me 'What is this WWW thing? I can't even read a magazine anymore without seeing WWW!' I will remember explaining what home computers were like now and taking him shopping to buy a new one to replace his oolllllddd IBM then walking him through set up. I will remmeber being online at home one evening and getting an instant message from Jim. 'Angie, am I online?' LOL!! I will remember teasing him about burning out a monitor chatting online with his future wife. (He really did!) I will remember the happy smiles of Jim and Rebecka in their beautiful wedding picture and later, wonderful family portraits. I will remember the smiling man we all called friend. God bless you Jim. May God grant your family strength and peace. Gone but never forgotten. You are all in our hearts.

This has been such a tragic story, but the strength Rebecka and Jim showed reminds us all what love is capable of inspiring us to do. May Jim's memory forever live on in the smiles and laughter of their two beautiful girls, affectionately known to me as Fred (Abby) and Frank (Alyssa). The Jones Family sends their love.
