We would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of Rev. Trotter. He was our pastor at Wesleyan Chapel for 17 years and you would never meet a better Christian man. When our father and husband passed away he was there thru everything. We always loved to hear him talk of Ireland and was amazed at how he remembered all the dates even in his later years. He is a man that will surely be missed by everyone who knew him or came in contact with him. Our deepest sympathy, Irene, Glenna, Herbert, and Henry Bragg of Beckley, WV. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Time has lost a very Godly and interesting man. My first memory of Bro. Trotter was in February of 1966 or 1967 when I traveled with him from my hometown, Winfield, KS to the Hobe Sound, FL campmeeting. That was quite an interesting trip - sandwiched between him and one of the three women we were making the trip with. I can still remember his Irish brogue conversations with those in the front seat, while I was trying to maintain my seatspace as he edged my direction to better be able to converse with those in the front seat. When the campmeeting was over we parted ways for a number of years until once again our path's crossed at Kansas City College and Bible School when I attended college and he was one of the teachers. He was a very wonderful, Godly man and has always held special significance to me. We have lost him, but heaven has gained a treasure.

Rev. Trotter was one of my college professors at Kansas City College and Bible School. At that time he also lived in the Men's Dorm with the students. What great memories of those days!! He was a respected minister, and Bible scholar. He always had a warm smile and encouraging words. His stories will be told in preacher circles until Jesus comes! He is now basking in the presence of the Lord he loved, and we look forward to a great reunion someday soon!!

So very sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. He was a true man of God and a friend to all who met him. His memory will live long beyond the day of his entrance into heaven.

Sad to hear of your loss. But Ernie was a special friend to our family and what a great long life he was given. "We shall meet again" is so true.

Ernie was a great and Godly man. I knew him many years, while he dated my Aunt Deloris Rigsby Trotter. I remember attending their wedding and how sweet he was with her. She loved him dearly. He came to many family functions. After my aunt's passing, my boys and I visited him in Beckley. He took great interest in them. Such an intelligent man. My husband enjoyed talking with him about Ireland. You will be missed Ernie. Condolences to the family.

I never got to meet Br. Trotter, but I've know him a few years through Br. Barry Holland & Br. Junior Sowards. They both spoke very highly of him and enjoyed his preaching immensely. They would talk about what a great soldier for the Lord he was. He will be missed by all who knew him, but Heaven will be a little brighter with his presence there.
