Roy Lee Wilkes Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1934 - 2011 Roy Lee Wilkes, 77, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at home. He was born February 1, 1934 in Miller, Ohio son of the late William Harrison and Minnie Holland Wilkes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Imogene Wilkes; two brothers Harry Wilkes and Joe Wilkes; one sister Cora Scarberry. He is survived by four children Lisa (Vessie) Jordan of Proctorville, Ohio, Melinda (Terry) Elkins of Chesapeake, Ohio, Mary Ann Wilkes of Kenova, WV, and Jacklin (Terry) Porter of Chesapeake, Ohio; one brother Ernie Wilkes of Chesapeake, Ohio; six sisters Naomi Mitchell of Proctorville, Ohio, Mabel Wilkes of Portsmouth, Ohio, Georgia Adkins of Huntington, WV, Margaret Wiser of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Sara Greene of Huntington, WV and Faye Watters of Indianapolis, IN; two special granddaughters Heather and Danielle Wilkes; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from ACF Industries. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Gordon Simpson. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Sorry for your loss family. I loved Gene and Roy they were a couple. He loved her dearly and now hes gone to be with her.You guys may be sad but look what hes got his gene again.Love you guys.
