LaVonda was a wonderful person and I was so sad to read that she had passed away this week. I had LaVonda as a student at Ohio University when she came to school to earn a teaching degree. Her heart was genuinely interested in helping young learners succeed. She loved her family and certainly made a difference in many children's lives.

I will truely miss Mrs. Lavonda I cant begin to tell you how your precious mother touched my life. I have so many precious memories of her like watching her watch her son sing and the tears would flow and you could tell she was so proud of him. Her tender heart for the children and never ending patience. Her love for the missionaries. Her love for others and her always kind words. Her strength amazes me she would always give everything her all no matter how she felt. If ever there was a person that gave as Jesus would it would be Mrs Lavonda Gibson. Loving Mother, Friend and Christian. I will miss her so much but I know in Heaven with Jesus is where she wanted to be and she will be waiting on us when we meet her again... Love to all the family and God will be your strenght to help you through the times that are rough.......Keeping you in my prayers Kathy Hart
