Rosemma Foster Black, 85 of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born March 31, 1926 in Chesapeake, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald Curtis Foster and Jessie Stanley Singer and step-father Marshall Singer; her husband Robert G. Black; and granddaughter Jennifer Marsalisi. She is survived by one daughter Marsha Black Smith of Ellenton, FL; two sons and daughter-in-law Craig (Susan) Black of Proctorville, Ohio and Chuck Black of Proctorville, Ohio; six grandchildren Jessica Smith Norris, Sara Black Spangler, Grant Black, Bobby Black, Katie Black and Ben Dillon; nine great grandchildren and two great -great grandchildren. She attended New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, Ohio. Graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Dwayne Shugert. There will be no visitation. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington,WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

I am so sorry for your loss.I took care of Mrs. Black at the rehab hospital and I have enjoyed every moment that I spent with her..She always put a smile on my face and we share alot of stories..I will miss her alot..Your family will be in my prayers..

marsha,chuck,and craig our prayers are with you at this time and always,i have so many fond memories that happend in that home roseemma and bob dancing accross the floor,granny wanting me to take the ford and bob insisting we take the red dart and rosemma insisting on me staying the night because of bad roads,and making us stuff to eat at any time of day i showed up.May god bless you guys and i know as well as you do she is cradled in the arms of our savior.
