Roy Ottis Blake Sr.Roy Ottis Blake Sr., 84, of Chesapeake, Ohio entered the kingdom of Heaven, on Sunday June 5, 2011 at home. He was born February 5, 1927 in Lesage, WV, son of the late Lucian and Gracie Holland Blake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Colleen Blake; four brothers Preston, Roger, Richard, and Ray Blake; and two sisters Frances Burnette and Elsie Essington. Roy retired from Houdaille Industries and was a retired truck driver. He was a WWII Army veteran, and member of Union UB Church for over 65 years, and he was an avid hunter. He is survived by one daughter Judy Clay (Butch) of Chesapeake, Ohio; five sons Roy Jr. (Kathy) Blake of Chesapeake, Ohio, Ralph (Leah) Blake of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Darrell (Patty) Blake of Chesapeake, Ohio, David (Sherry) Blake of Papineau, Illinois, and Eddy (Terri) Blake of Warfield, KY; 23 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one sister Carolyn Moore of Michigan; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Glen Carmon and Pastor Ben Coleman. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall. Flowers will be accepted or donations to Hospice of Huntington.

My sister and I and mom and dad went to church with Roy at Union. He was a great man of God. He will be rejoicing in heaven with Doris. My prayers are with the family. You will see him again someday where there will be no pain just happiness with God around the throne.
