John E. Stephens, Sr., 85, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born October 27, 1925 in Lawrence County, Ohio, son of the late Otto and Elsie Taylor Stephens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Opal Irene Duncan Stephens; one brother Paul Stephens; and one sister Wanda Jones. He is survived by his wife Nora Lyndell Stephens; daughter Hazel Stephens Hinkle of South Point, Ohio; son John E. Stephens Jr. of Flatwoods, KY; son David M. Stephens of South Point, Ohio; sister Rosemary Garaska of Florida; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. There will be no services. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
