Pauline Nida Kirk, 82, of Clemmons, NC formerly of Huntington, WV. passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 in Bermuda Village Graystone Cottage, Advance, NC. She was born February 12, 1929 in Hamlin, WV daughter of the late Homer Stanton and Iva Richardson Nida. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Irvin Kirk; grandson Benjamin Kirk and brother Russell Nida. She was a Godly wife and a Godly mother to her three children Stan (and his wife Debbie) Kirk of Huntington, WV, Mark (and his wife Robin) Kirk of Hudson, Ohio and Beth (and her husband Chris) Kelley of Clemmons, North Carolina who survive her along with grandchildren Lauren (and her husband Tim) Humphreys, Emily (and her husband Jason) Richardson, Ashley Kirk, Allan Kirk, Allie Kirk and Taylor Kelley; four great grandchildren MacKenzie, Olivia, Audrey and Trent Humphreys; her sisters Fay Dillon and Ruth Meddings; her brother Mason Nida; and many special friends including, but not limited to, Norma Lee Horton and Rose Elkins. She was a graduate of Hamlin High School and also studied and graduated from several business courses in Huntington, WV. The family would like to thank the staff of Bermuda Village Assisted Living Center for the loving care they provided their mother during her time there. Funeral service will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at The Norway Avenue Church of Christ, 1400 Norway Avenue Huntington, WV. by Pastor Jeff Garrett. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held Sunday prior to the funeral from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Norway Avenue Church of Christ. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV. 25709.
