Virginia May Handley, 89, of Knoxville, TN formerly of Proctorville, Ohio loving mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at home. She was born August 21, 1921 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Walter Ray and Olive Letha Blevins Storey. in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George J. Handley; three sons John Handley, George Handley and William "Bill" Handley and his wife Charlotte; two sisters and one brother. She is survived by one son Joe (Charlotte) Handley of Knoxville, TN; two daughters-in-law Carolyn Handley of Proctorville, Ohio and Sue Handley of Columbus, Ohio; a niece of whom she thought of as a daughter Helen Flavin of Lexington, KY; sister-in-law Jessalee Handley of Barboursville, WV; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Huntington, WV.
