Walton G. Bowles, Jr., age 90, of 314 Briarwood Drive, Danville, VA went to be with Jesus September 9, 2011. He passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born May 16, 1921 in Salem, VA he was the son of Walton G. Bowles, Sr., and Catherine Cromer Bowles. He was married in 1947 to the former Hazel Cremeans who predeceased him in February 2003.He was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army. He worked for Western Electric in Roanoke, VA, Norfolk, VA and Huntington W.VA and later for C&P Telephone before retiring in 1983.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judy E. Bowles, of Danville, and Donna J. Bowles Dinwiddie, and her husband Tom, of Virginia Beach, three beautiful granddaughters, Kristi (Jeff), Holly (Brent), and Kelly, and three precious great grandchildren, Maddy, Randy, and Gordy and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Hall Funeral Home from 1 to 3 PM prior to a 3:00 PM funeral service in Proctorville, Ohio on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
