Charles Eugene Young, 82, of Coolidge, GA formerly of Huntington WV went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 23, 2011 in Tallahassee , FL. He was born in Cabell County, WV on May 17, 1929, a son of the late Robert and Gertrude Young. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Evlyn Young. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ted and his sisters Eloise, Charlotte and Janet and an infant brother and sister. He is survived by his second wife Dorothy L. Strickland Young of Coolidge GA. He is also survived by his children - Pat & Belinda Young, Margaret & Donnie McCloud, Debbie & Mike Roach, Chuck & Pam Young , Bobby & Trina Young, Lavelle & Brenda Strickland, Patsy & Vernon Post and Rita & John Lazarra. In addition to his children Charles is survived by 21 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 6 great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Verma Burns as well as many nieces, nephews and members of the Strickland family. Visitation will be 1 p.m. Friday September 30, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville , OH. Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Donnie McCloud officiating.
