Amber H. Tickle, 94, formerly of Matewan, WV passed away Wednesday December 7, 2011 in Chateau Grove Senior Living Barboursville, WV. She was born June 6, 1917 in Chattaroy, WV to the late Joseph Jefferson and Chloe Curry Staten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Samuel Tickle; son Larry Tickle; two sisters Ruby Brockhoff and Agnes Hatfield; one brother Vernal Staten. She is survived by one daughter Cheryl (Jack) Nelson of Proctorville, Ohio; one son Ronald Lee (Lucia) Tickle of Tennessee; eight grandchildren Ted (Trish) Tickle, Steven Tickle, Iris Carter, James (Melissa) Cline, Cara Nelson, Lisa Pappas(Jack) Roe, Brian Nelson and finance' Angie Lester, Barry (Sheri) Nelson , many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and previous caregiver Pat Ash. She was a member of Samaria Primitive Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star in Red Jacket, WV. A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday December 9, 2011 at Buskirk Cemetery, Buskirk, Ky. Burial will follow in Buskirk Cemetery Buskirk, KY. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday December 8, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a trust fund set up in her name at City National Bank, Chesapeake, Ohio to provide for a charity of her choice. Cheryl, I am so sorry about the death of your mother. Mothers are so precious to us, but she is with Christ who is even more precious. It has been so many years since I have seen you--too many. I would come to the funeral home, but I do not drive after dark due to eye problems. I still love you and all your family. You will be in my prayers. Ethel

Sorry to hear about your mother's passing. My mom Ruby Wheeler and brother Tommy were friends of her's @ Highlawn Place. She was a lovely lady who always had a smile to share. Peace and comfort to your family.
