Melva Jeanie Drake Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1951 - 2011 Melva Jeanie Drake, 60, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born October 10, 1951 in Logan, WV daughter of the late June and Frances Jane Peyton Simpkins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son "Little Neal" Drake; one brother James Simpkins; and two sisters Linda Simpkins and Gladys Browning. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Neal Drake, Sr.; one daughter Pamela Drake of Louisiana; three grandchildren Amanda Martin, Dakota Martin and Riley Martin; two sisters Eunice Czkanski and Ella Stollings; one brother Stewart Simpkins; special friend Paul Johnson; and many other friends. A private graveside service will be held by Minister Paul Drake. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may by expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Oh Neal, Pam, I am so, so sorry to hear of Jeanie's passing. It came as such a shock when Dawn told me of her passing. Jeanie was just the sweetest! My thoughts & prayers are with you.
