Doris Opal Hardy, 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Catholic Care Center, Bel Aire, KS. She was born November 3, 1925 in Proctorville, Ohio daughter of the late Nadeau Robert and Bessie Pearl Gossett Edwards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon M. Hardy in 1991; one son Fred E. Hardy in 2009; three sisters Mary Bihary, Imogene Galloway and Peggy Dillon; two brothers Nadeau Robert Edwards, Jr and Gleneth Ishmael Edwards. She is survived by one daughter Patricia Lynn Hardy Dearbaugh and husband Wesley; two sons Randall Lee Hardy and his wife Rita, Jonathan Andrew Hardy and his wife Jennifer; two granddaughters Amy Dearbaugh Wallace, Kathryn B. Hardy; four grandsons Adam Dearbaugh and his wife Sarah, David Hardy and his wife Katie, Joshua Hardy and Aidan Hardy; two great grandchildren Cole Edward and Owen Wesley Wallace. She was a member of South Point Church of Christ. She was a retired secretary from the U.S. Forest Service. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Chuck Forsythe. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
