I just wanted to let you know that our hearts are aching for you in the loss of your wonderful father. I have so many fond memories of spending time at your home with Claudia and Marcia while back in school. You all were such wonderful friends to me and your whole family treated me with great kindness. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I read the loving tribute this morning in the paper from Claudia for her father. I wanted to send a sympathy card but could not come up with your address. May God watch over and comfort all of you in the coming days and weeks ahead. Love Denise

My thoughts are with the family during this time of sorrow..Your Dad made a lasting impression on me. He was a genuinely good person, always quick with humor or a joke. I have met very few men who always put their family first..Your Dad was the exception! I am saddened by his passing but comforted by the thought that God needed a humble, strong man to help him navigate the rivers in heaven.

Daddy, I'm sitting here in my room stareing at your photo! I am a 60 year old woman who now fels like a 10 yr. old little girl. I want my Daddy!!!!!! God has not answered me yet, I keep waiting. I feel like someone has just ripped my heart right out of my chest. I can't comprehend you won't be looking at the same blue skys, the beautiful starry nights, or ever make a footprint on this earth again. But I suppose the things you are now seeing make this old earth pale in signifiance. You were my protector, my strength, the man with the corny jokes. You were the light in my darkness and I will mourn and miss you until my last breath on this earth is taken.I have so many memories to sustain me--I am so much a part of you. You taught us to love the outdoors, to work hard-be crafty with our hands and to always be kind and to never look down on the less fortunate! I am so proud to be your daughter and so, so, so proud to call you "FATHER"! I will love you until the end of the world.....your first daughter.........Claudia
