Joseph B. "Freddie" Martin, 79, of Huntington, WV. formerly of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at home. He was born September 4, 1932 in Huntington, WV. son of the late Joseph and Mary Louise Baglio Martin. He is survived by one daughter Mary Jo Martin of Huntington, WV.; one son J.B. Martin of Proctorville, Ohio; mother of his children Mary "Tug" Martin of Proctorville, Ohio; sisters-in-law Audrey Adkins of South Point, Ohio and June (Eddie) Edwards of Proctorville, Ohio; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was retired from Commercial Motor Freight and a retired member Teamsters Local #505. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post 9738 Guyandotte and V.F.W. Post 6878 Proctorville, Ohio. He was also a member of American Legion Posts in Huntington, WV and Milton, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Brad Poe. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

We are deeply sorry for the loss of Joe. He was a dear friend and we will all miss him greatly. He was always upbeat and we all had a fun time being with him. We will remember him as a really great guy, willing to do anything for anybody.
