I am so sorry to hear about Brenda. I wish I could attend the service but am unable to. I finally have a great picture of her. She came to the funeral parlor in Chesapeake when my father passed away & she had given me an old photo of her that got lost before I got out of town. We were old high school friends. I like her obituary and it gives me comfort knowing now that she was a member of a Baptist Church. A internet friend comforted me by texting me there is relief in knowing she is in a better place.

Brenda Gail Farris, 57, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Saturday January 21, 2012 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born June 3, 1954 in Huntington, WV. She was daughter of the late Oscar Edward Clay and Junior Scarberry. In addition to her fathers, she was preceded in death by a grandson Cody Webber. Brenda was a member of McKinley United Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary Group. She was an employee of Marshall University. Brenda is survived by her husband Bobby L. Farris; mother Marcella Scarberry of Burlington, Ohio; daughter Tammy Webber of Proctorville; two sons Bobby Joe Farris of Scottown and Jeff Farris of Proctorville; four grandchildren Whitney, Tiffany, Trevor, and Abigail; two brothers Roy and Billy Scarberry; one sister Janie Blake; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor James Dailey. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
