Howard Leslie "Les" Steele, 65, of Ironton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday January 24, 2012 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. He is son of the late Walter and Irene Laney Steele. He is survived by his loving companion, Wanda Pancake of Ironton, Ohio; four sons Josh (Teana) Steele, Jake (Taylor) Steele, Tommy (Mandy) Steele, and Scott (Jennifer) Steele; three daughters Wendy (Tony) Carver, Nicole (Jack) Stormes, and Becky (Ricky) Stone; eleven grandchildren Bryan Steele, Kylie Stone, Destiny Stormes, Austin Stormes, Autumn Steele, Zach Steele, Lakyn Steele, Ethan Steele, Hannah Carver, Cameron Carver, and Cody Carver; one brother Bruce Steele; three sisters Thelma (Jim) Lowe of South Carolina, Ival McGraw of West Portsmouth, and Sarah (Janie) Damron of Portsmouth; and his loving daughter-in-law and caregiver, Jennifer Steele. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Erbie Steele and Walter Steele Jr.; and one sister Gladys Steele Messer. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday January 27, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Brian Chaffins. Burial will follow in Junior Furnace Cemetery Franklin Furnace, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday January 27, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio.
