Jeannine Louise Fulks Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1940 - 2012

Jeannine Louise FulksJEANNINE LOUISE WISEMAN FULKS, 71, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Wednesday morning, January 25, 2012, at home with members of her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Stanley E. Wiseman and Ida Lycan Wiseman, also of Huntington. Jeannine was a graduate of Huntington High School 1958 and Marshall University 1962 with a degree in music education. She taught three years in the Wayne County school system before retiring to her home to be a full time mother, homemaker and wife. It was her purpose to be the best mother she could possibly be and that goal she attained at the highest level. Jeannine is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Paul N. Fulks and two sons, Brent Nelson Fulks, his wife Renee and children Emily Morgan and Claire Averie of Ona, West Virginia; Steven Geoffrey Fulks, his wife Tonia and children Haley Elizabeth, Kaitlyn Noel, and Loren Shae of Williamstown, West Virginia. Surviving siblings are Angela Wiseman Schaedler and husband Rev. Tony Schaedler of Nashville, Georgia; Don Edward Wiseman and his wife Mary Witten Wiseman of Huntington, West Virginia. Jeannine was a lifelong Methodist with her recent membership being at Johnson Memorial Methodist Church. Jeannine was active all her married life supporting the programs in which her husband and sons found themselves involved, whether it be band, athletic teams or hobbies. She was an active member of the Quiltblockers at the Vinson Memorial Christian Church where she will be missed by her many friends. She loved working with the crafts of our Appalachian culture, turning out many beautiful works of art that was mostly self-taught. God blessed her with this talent and she gave it back to her friends and family not as for monetary gain, but through the love of giving. In her family's opinion she was truly an example of God's idea of a wonderful woman, wife and mother. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reger Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Dr. Caudle J. Adkins officiating. Pallbearers will be James Chandler, Dick Thompson, Francis Foose, Raymond Pollard and Dr. T. Jeff Fry, and David Blankenship. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.timeformemory.com/reger.

Dear Paul, Brent, Steve, and family, I was deeply saddened to hear of Jeannine's passing! I have such fond memories of coming over when I was little, with her and my mom in the sewing room over the garage, and Steve, Brent, and Andy playing basketball outside! I will miss seeing her at the election poles! Jeannine had a sewing talent like no other, and she will be missed. Take care. May God give you the comfort that you need at this time. Love, Marianne, Casey, and Kevin
