Jeff  Nichols Jr.Jeff Nichols, Jr., 84, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday February 1, 2012 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born February 22, 1927 in Matewan, WV to the late Jeff Sr. and Bertha Ward Nichols. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Faye Rose Swanson Nichols; and eight brothers and sisters. Jeff is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Peggy "Penny" and Greg Sovine of Teays Valley, WV; and two grandsons Charles Bradley Woolcock and his wife Christy and Jeffrey Reed Woolcock. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene Huntington, WV. Jeff was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Crown City Masonic Lodge #536 F & AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, Lawrence County Scottish Rite Club, and member of VFW Post #9738 Guyandotte, WV. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home by Dallas Moore. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday February 4, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Huntington. Penny, so very sorry to hear about your dad. We don't live far from where you grew up on Scott Drive. I have many happy memories of spending time at my Uncle Freelin Conn's home and visiting with you and your mom and dad. Will be praying for God's strength and comfort during this time.
