Rodney Howard Vanover, 60, of Huntington, WV passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born October 4, 1951 in Huntington, WV son of the late Glen and Betty Vanover who met him at Heaven's door. He is survived by his loving wife Joann Vanover that he loved very much; son Seth Vanover and his wife GiGi of Los Angeles, CA; a step daughter Petula Leffingwell and her husband Mark; granddaughter Holli Robertson of Chesapeake, Ohio that he loved very much; and many other family members that he loved very much. He retired from SMC Electric with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Demalay, Western Star Lodge #11 AF & AM, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Huntington Chapter #6 Royal Arch Masons, Huntington Commandery No. 9 Knights Templar. He was a member of the Eastern Star #8 of Huntington, Shriners International; and El Hasa Shriners where he was an El Hasa Clown. He was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Paul Russell.
