We were very sorry to hear of Dena's passing. We both have fond memories of Dena growing up in Kahoka. She was such a sweetheart who was kind to everyone and so beautiful. John sent her a note and picture of them in grade school a couple of months ago. He had a "crush" on her for many years!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Dear Charlene and Dena's Family, It saddens me to learn of the passing of Dena and your father (grandfather). Over the last 6 or 7 years we had talked on the phone and I saw her at the last two reunions. Wish I could have done more for her. In jr high and high school we did have some very good times. Please accept my deepest sympathy. God bless you, Jeanne (One of the Fore Twins from Wayland)

I met Dena and her daughter Michelle at the Quaker Square apartments in Golden, Colorado when I moved to Colorado in 1974. I was a young and crazy 18 year old and Dena was an "older woman" of 28. We became very good friends and had many good times together. Our lives took different paths and I have not been in touch with her for many years and this is very sad news. I will always remember Dena very fondly and with great affection and love. God bless her and keep her. My condolences to Dena's family during this difficult time.
