Mary L. Eaton, 83, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was born April 4, 1928 in Westmoreland, WV daughter of the late John R. and Okie Borders Short. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Guy Mace Eaton; son John Eaton; two sisters Betty Spurlock and Fran Malcolm; and two brothers Bob Short and John B. Short. She is survived by two daughters Teresa (Steve) Clark of Proctorville, Ohio and Ruth Godschalk of Fort Meyers, FL; one daughter-in-law Chris Eaton of Wheelersburg, Ohio; eight grandchildren Derek (Tiffany) Clark, Leslie (Rick) Wolf, Dr. Mark (Jessica) Eaton, Jonathan (Amanda) Eaton, Brent (Natalie) Eaton, Danette Lemaster, R.T. "Bub" Lemaster, Mary Godschalk; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, Ohio where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of Proctorville Teresa Chapter #257 O.E.S. She also was an avid bowler and bridge player. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Dwayne Shugert. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, Ohio or Community Hospice, Ashland, KY.
