Betty Lou Davis Stevens, 72, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born March 28, 1939 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Robert Adams and Rheba Davis King. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Robert Lee Stevens and they are now together forever in Heaven; two loving caring sons Larry Edwin Moore and William Moore, Jr.; one brother Paul Davis. She is survived by a daughter and special son-in-law Billie June Stevens Bullock and Harold Bullock; daughter-in-law Vicki Moore; a special grandson Adam Scott Moore and his wife Jessica; two great grandchildren Anna Moore and Austin Moore; two sisters Carol Jones and Mary Lucas; a special niece and best friend Deb Pauley; two furry kids Muggins and Buffy; a special brother Bob King; friends Tom Mossburg and the late Carole Mossburg; many nieces, nephews and family members that loved her dearly; and a special family friend Teri Hysell. She was a loving mother, aunt, wife, grandmother and sister. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at Cabell Huntington Hospital for many years and enjoyed it so much as well as being a member of the Democrat Club which she also enjoyed. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Rob Jones and Pastor Lee Stanton. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Billie, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. She was a wonderful lady and great friend and neighbor to all of us. Sorry that I could not be there but know that you have been in my thoughts & prayers.

My aunt Betty was a great women that always believed in me.. I had a wild life as a young adult but when I become clean and living live to the fullest she was one of the first people to tell me she was proud of me and that she always knew I could do it... when my grandfather, uncle Bob's brother died 5 years ago she was a very supported women to my family and my grandmother Ann Stevens good friend... Aunt Betty you will be greatfuly missed and god gain himself a perfect angel when you left this world... gone but promise you will never be forgotten... we love and miss you dearly...

Being not that much older than me, Betty was almost a childhood friend. The consummate prankster whose laugh will be missed. When she would babysit me she would make up stories about how I tied her up to a tree and put ants on her. And, to her last day called me what she called me for 60 years..."Robbie Jones Avenue". Missed.
