Dottie Jean Allen, 74, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at home. She was born January 25, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Geraldine Morrow Brown. She is survived by her husband Edmund "Ed" Allen; one daughter Colleen Nelson of Proctorville, Ohio; three sons Michael (Karen) Allen of Chesapeake, Ohio; Keith (Lynn) Allen of Virginia; Ed (Angel) Allen of Scottown, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters Kay Conley of South Point, Ohio and Connie Pope of Catlettsburg, KY; one brother Jackson Brown of Chesapeake, Ohio;and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Christ Community Church and former owner of 4th Avenue Peanut Shoppe. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Todd Kincaid. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio.
