Dear Tommy, My very deepest sypathay on your loss of Carlotta. Carlotta was an amazingly gracious, loving, thoughtful human being. She brought sunshine into every room she entred. Our time together at St John's NICU was so special. She was the day nurse for Jimmy Grus and I was the night nurse - for the 15 monhths of his stay. We visited their home several times together after Jimmy's discharge. I know how much she loved you and how close you two were. Your care of Her was an act of love not many could do.. God bless You. Tom, we were sorry to hear about Carlotta. You and your family have been strong throughout such a difficult time. I'm certain she's watching and feels great pride from your strength and support. Your relationship is a true testament of living God's love for one another. If Meghan and I are able to experience even a fraction of such wonderful devotion I will feel truly blessed. We cannot put into words how devesated we were to hear of the loss of Carlotta. We are just heartbroken! Tom, you and Carlotta were so special to us! Carlotta was so amazing. I have several Christmas trees through out my home because I was so inspired by her trees...and that is just the beginning...I could go on and on...but I will always remember her smiling...her smile was contagious! She was so kind and compassionate...I will never forget they day you moved from Belleville...how she was able to keep her composure and hugged Kylie good-bye keeping a smile on her face and in her eyes. Reminding us to be brave for Kylie...she didn't want Kylie to be sad :( I will forever have that image of her...brave and smiling. We love you and wish with all of our hearts we could wrap our arms around you and love you thru this. We pray that you feel Jesus presence all around you during this most difficult time. The world is a sadder place without her :( All our love- Mark, Janell, Kylie, Zechariah, and Micah

To Carlotta's wonderful husband Tommy and her extended family, I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts & prayers are with you. I worked with Carlotta in the NICU (St. Vincent) and she was such a wonderful nurse. She was loved by her co-workers, as she was so very sweet and what a wonderful laugh. She was such a kind and giving person and will be missed as she had been already missed by her work family! May GOD help you find peace in knowing that Carlotta is in the arms of the LORD & has found peace. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. Prayers to you.....Mitzi VanderGalien, RN

Carlotta was a wonderful and special woman. I will miss her so much. She taught me so much while caring for her. I will be a better nurse because of her example and positive attitude. Fortunately, Carlotta is in a better place now and no longer has to suffer through that horrible disease. She is looking down on all of us as one of God's angels. We love you Carlotta and you will always be in our hearts.

It takes a very special person to have the ability to care for critically ill babies, giving the best physical, mental and spiritual care possible, and to spend as much time as necessary with parents to listen, to help them cope in any way possible. It takes a special person to care so much for her friends that she would always ask how your family was, share stories of growing up, taking the time to listen, to laugh and cry together. It takes a special person to love your family so much that she wanted to share all of their dreams and accomlishments with us. It takes a special person who knows at a young age that she has met her best friend, the love of her life, even the principal knew they were in love. Every single time we talked she would always tell stories about her Tommy and how much she loved him. Carlotta was all these things and so much more. Carlotta now has all the trees in heaven to decorate for Christmas. We love you.

Tom We are so, so sad to learn of Carlotta's departure. The term "wonderful person" is so over used that it somewhat belittles it's value. But Carlotta DID fully deserve that title. If she ever spoke a bad word I sure never heard it. She truly was a dear sweet lady. Janis and I are both with you and the rest of your and Carlotta's families in this time. The Lord has accepted her now. Please never lose sight of that assurded fact. Our Condolences Nelms Family

I was saddened to read of the loss of Carlotta. She was a college friend from the early 70s. She was my next door neighbor in Mignon Hall. The last time I saw Carlotta was at her wedding. We all went our separate ways, but I always wondered what became of her. She was such a bubbly young lady. My condolences to the family.

Carlotta never complained about where she was assigned in the unit for she loved each baby there as if it were her own. She was an exceptional nurse and an exceptional person. She could put anyone at ease with her sense of humor. Thank you Carlotta for your expertise, your example, and your friendship. May there be a place in heaven for you with a coffee pot, good food, and the perfect schedule!

I will never forgot Carlotta! She was the sweetest, kindest person and such a wonderful nurse! Carlotta precepted me in the NICU 10 years ago when I was still in nursing school at IUPUI. The wonderful experience I had working with Carlotta helped me choose the career path that I did. I am so grateful for knowing her. Carlotta's family is in my prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.

God never blessed me with a daughter, but he sure blessed me when he gave me Carlotta as a friend. She always knew she was the daughter I never had. My life was richer for knowing her. I will always remember her smile. Tom, I pray that God will give you the strenght to get through this difficult time.
