1934 - 2012
Clarence Ernest Williamson, 77, long time resident of Huntington, WV went to shake hands with our Savior Jesus Christ and to be with his father and mother, Isaac and Anna Taylor Williamson in heaven above on Sunday, March 18, 2012. He was born October 12, 1934 in Huntington, WV. He was a member of the United States Army from October 2, 1952 to September 30, 1955 and served in the Korean Conflict as supply handler and heavy equipment operator. His medals included National Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars. He was a member of Apostolic Life Cathedral and a retired general contractor. Clarence is survived by his wife Vicki Lyn Williamson; four sons Jeffrey Paul of Goldsboro NC., Gregory Dale, Glenn Ray, and Anthony Wayne all of Huntington WV; one sister Judith Fouts of Martinsville Ind.; daughter-in-law Rebecca Williamson; four grandsons, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. Clarence was preceded in death by his brothers William, Carl and Joe; three sisters Minnie Kitchen, Frances Turley and Genevieve Cardwell; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be performed by Rev. Edwin Harper 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Apostolic Life Cathedral, 350 Staunton Street Huntington. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Church. There will also be a private family graveside service on Friday, March 23, 2012 at Miller Cemetery Miller, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. I'm so sorry for your loss. Clarence was always so sweet to me and always had a smile when I'd talk to him. I'll miss seeing him out here at the VA. He hadn't changed in all the years I had known him.

Clerance was a wonderful man who would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed not only by his family but friends and anyone he talked to. He made an impression that stuck with you. RIP Clerance you are truley missed!
