Lawrence D. "Sandy" Blake Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1925 - 2012 Lawrence D. "Sandy" Blake, 87, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012 at home. He was born April 1, 1925 in Glenwood, WV son of the late Leonard and Urdine Wallace Blake. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Melvin "Warner" Blake. He is survived by his wife Mary Bailey Blake; five daughters Becky (Carroll) Bragg, Linda (Roger) Cox, Ann (Eddie) Massie, Sandra (Steve) Ford and Gloria (Dale) White; three brothers James "Jim" (Betty) Blake of Tuscon, AZ, Alvin "Gene" (Wanda) Blake of Gallipolis, Ohio and Donald "Don" (Wanda) Blake of Alford, FL; one sister Lillian Williams of Glenwood, WV; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was a member of Windsor Church and an U.S. Army Veteran. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Jack Rankin. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Mary and Family, sorry for you loss but it is Heavens gain. We will all miss him , but we know you will the most. He was like a big brother when we were growing up. He tried to keep me straight. Our prayers are with you. Frank and Opal.
