Elizabeth Ava Cook, 81, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at home. She was born March 16, 1931 in Rupert, WV daughter of the late Oakley and Gertrude Evans Price. She is survived by her husband John "Jack" B. Cook; one daughter Vicky Read of Huntington, WV; two granddaughters Marlene Henderson of Chesapeake, Ohio and Stacey Read of Huntington, WV; four great grandchildren Melissa Maynard, Katie Quinonez, Jayden Madden, and Talen Madden; three great great grandchildren Zachary Brown, Chase Brown and Arianna Maynard; and five sisters. Elizabeth retired from the University of California. There will be no services. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
