John R. Cremeans, 69, of Thornville, Ohio formerly of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 at his home. He was born October 3, 1942 in Proctorville, Ohio in Proctorville, Ohio to the late Hobart Berton and Mabel Ellen Mann Cremeans. John was a racing enthusiast, U.S. Air Force Veteran, and member of the Am Vets Post 51, Thornport. He is survived by his loving family: three children Jeff (Kim) Cremeans, Randy (Stephanie) Cremeans and John K. Cremeans; seven grandchildren Matthew, Drew, Jessie (Kayla), Tyler, Samantha, Levi and Brooke; two great-grandchildren Blake and Jessi; two brothers and two sisters, Bill (Pam) Cremeans, Jack (Stella) Cremeans, Mary White and Debbie (Jim) Smoot; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janice Ooten Cremeans; and his brother Hobart Berton "Jude" Cremeans. A funeral service celebrating John's life will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Thornville home of HOSKINSON-Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 56 South Main Street. Private family burial will be in Lutheran Reform Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio assisted the family with local arrangements.
