Ruth Irene Bigler Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2012 Ruth Irene Bigler age 85 of Gowen passed away Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Spectrum Health United Memorial Rehab and nursing center Greenville. She was born on April 23, 1927 the daughter of Harold and June Hansen Edgar in Howard City. She married Raymond W. Bigler on September 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 18, 1993. Her brother John Edgar and sister Maxine Northrup also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Langston Church and was a senior companion with 8-CAP. She was a loved and respected wife to Ray and Mother to her seven children and their families. She is survived by her family; Phillip (Jeanne) Bigler of Greenville, Frederick (Catherine) Bigler of Brant, Raymond H. (Debra) Bigler of Gowen, Kathleen (David) Buskirk of Vestaburg, Marlene (Dean) Geldersma of Trufant, Darlene (Dennis)Zank of Gowen and Harry (Dawn) Bigler of Jenison, 18 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 22, 2012 at 11 AM from the chapel of Hurst Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Bush of Langston Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Langston. Visitation will be on Thursday June 21 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Langston Church or Spectrum Health United Memorial Rehab and nursing Center for the Activities Fund.

Ruth was always accepting and kind. I loved her big smile and hugs when she would see me. My sympathy to all extended family on the loss of this wonderful lady.
