 Wanda M. Edwards Carter, 92, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 at home. She was born April 23, 1920 in Proctorville, Ohio daughter of the late Dillie and Jenny Edwards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Leslie, Chester, Clyde, Dennis and Charles; and sisters Hazel and Helen. She is survived by her son Frank Petry of Willow Wood, Ohio; her daughter Linda and Bill Null of Proctorville, Ohio; three grandchildren Stefanie and Danny of South Point, Ohio, Mark and Melanie of Proctorville, Ohio and Charlie of Willow Wood, Ohio; three great grandchildren Madison, Madeline and Marlana; nieces and nephews Rita and David Nemeth of Proctorville, Ohio who called every night, Donna and Dennis Brumfield of Proctorville, Ohio, Buddy and Vickie Edwards of Proctorville, Ohio, Loretta and Mark Adkins of Crown City, Ohio; one sister-in-law Betty Edwards of Proctorville, Ohio. She retired from the Elks Club, Huntington, WV. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio by her nephew David Nemeth. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall. |

Just learned of Wanda's passing, and so sorry that I missed her service. I enjoyed working with her at the Elks. She was like a second Mom. She will surely be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of grandmas passing. My thoughts and prayers are with Frank, Mark, and Charlie as well as the rest of her family. She always held a place in my memory of Willow Wood and she always will.
