Vicki graduated from Brackenridge High School in 1941, and then went to work for 4 years at Kelly field in the Provo Marshalls office. In 1945, she found the love of her life, 2nd Lt Guillermo (Bill) Gutierrez. They married two days after he graduated as a flight engineer and received his wings. They traveled extensively through his military assignments living in Europe for 4 years. Vicki considered traveling one of the biggest blessings of her life. After their European assignment, they settled in San Antonio to raise their family. Vicki worked for 19 years at Frost Bros. in North Star Mall as an office manager. She was an active member of La Trinidad United Methodist Church in San Antonio for 50 years. Vicki was involved in teaching Sunday school, church choir, Wesley House Community Center and Methodist Womens work for the Rio Grande Conference. They retired and moved to Kerrville in 1985, they loved the Hill Country and were active members of the Turtle Creek Community Church. Vicki volunteered every Christmas for the Salvation Army as a Bell Ringer and in the gift distribution center (wrapping gifts). She also helped prepare the thanksgiving meals. She felt so blessed and always wanted to give back to the community. Vicki never met a person she didnt like and will always be remembered as a person that lived her religion in everything she did. She was and will continue to be an inspiration to all that knew her. She loved beautiful music, was an avid reader and found such pleasures and joys in keeping up with old friends that she loved so much.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Laureano and Josephine Flores; her loving husband of 60 years Bill Gutierrez; their beloved daughter, Ruth and sister Josephine and Genevieve.

She was the heart of the family and a cherished mother and friend. The Lord has one more angel.
