Kenneth E Bug Bell, 85, of Silsbee, beloved husband, father and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ July 10, 2012 at Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Services will be held at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm, with burial in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Bell was born July 3, 1927 in Browndell, Texas to James W. Bell and Lucy Weaver Bell. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to fish and hunt. He was also a lifelong fan and supporter of Silsbee Tiger sports...often going years without missing a sporting event. He served in the Army in World War II and was employed 45 years by the Santa Fe Railroad. After retirement, he enjoyed many years traveling the US and Canada.
Kenneth married the love of his life, Maxine Powell, in 1949, and they enjoyed 63 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughter, Dianne Roberts and husband Chris; son, Kenneth Buddy Bell; grandson Christopher Dubcak and a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kenneth's memory to the First Baptist Church, 350 Hwy 96 South, Silsbee, TX 77656, where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
