In our time for sadness, I forgot to include my brother's name in the obituary. Lyndell (Shorty) Lake passed away 62 years ago. My mother is now blessed to be with him in Heaven.

Dear Jamie & Family,
I wanted to express my deepest sorrow. She was my best friend who was more like a sister to me for 52 years. There will not be a day that i will not miss her, all the laughters and sorrows we shared. The sorrow that me & my children share for Fern will be forever. May God bless you and Keep You and your family in his loving arms.
Love,

I work at Heritage Center where Fern's brother Richie resided for many years. I've been there for over 11 years, so I was there when Richie arrived. There wasn't a day that went by when Fern did not visit her brother, unless she was sick or out of town visiting her family in Dayton. I admired Fern greatly for that, and she and I enjoyed seeing each other. Always so pleasant with a warm smile. She remained on my Christmas card list for years. I'm sorry that she is no longer with us, but hope to see her with our Savior another day.
