Bernie Lowell Thompson Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1940 - 2012 Bernie Thompson, 71, of Huntington, WV passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at home. He was born December 15, 1940 in Logan, WV son of the late Bernie Hughes and Gertrude Walters Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Manely Thompson, Wendell Thompson and Chester Thompson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Marcella Browning Thompson of Huntington, WV; three sons Bernie, III (Cheryl) Thompson , Arvin (Kimberly) Thompson and Titus Thompson all of Huntington, WV. ; two sisters Barbara (Curtiss) Workman of Logan, WV and Linda (Larry) Norman of Logan, WV; one brother Randall (Kay) Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren, four nephews and eight nieces. A visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home. Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Sorry to hear about my childhood friend Bernie Thompson's passing. We was horse pitching partners back in 1955. As we grew older we went from beer garden to beer garden drinking & chasing pretty women.
