Funeral services for David Carl Dominy Jr., 68, of Silsbee will be 11:00 am Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment and military graveside honors following in Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be from 9:00 am Tuesday until time of service.
Mr. Dominy died August 2, 2012 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native of Colmesneil, David was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He began his career as a welder in several area refineries and retired as a supervisor from Chevron. David proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict in the US Navy.
Survivors include his loving wife of almost 46 years, Vernie Fay Fitzgerald Dominy of Silsbee; mother Georgia Mae Dominy of Woodville; sons, Bronson Fitzgerald Dominy and wife Trisha of Silsbee and Scott Eric Dominy and wife Charlene of Raleigh, NC; sister Marilyn Yvonne Fowel and husband Harold of Pearland; brother Clarence Allen Dominy and wife Sharon of Ivanhoe; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
