 Funeral services for Charles Langston King, 82, of Silsbee will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. King died August 9, 2012 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Sacul, TX, Charles was a longtime resident of Silsbee. He worked at Temple Inland and retired as a paper machine foreman. Mr. King proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. King is preceded in death by Jean, his wife of 61 years and his oldest son, Lester King.
Survivors include sons, Randy King and wife Priscilla of Montgomery, Terry King and wife Theresa of Corpus Christi and Derry King and wife Elizabeth of Evadale; brothers Bobby King of Houston, Jerry King of Weatherford and Joe Ed King of Lufkin; sister Judy Jinkins of Lufkin; grandchildren, Lisa Guidry, Wendy Watts, Kristen King, Ben King, Geoffrey King and Shara Johnson; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Silsbee, 350 Hwy 96 S, Silsbee, TX 77656, or to the charity of your choice.
