Mamie Louise Adkins, 77, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born April 2, 1935 in Proctorville, Ohio daughter of the late Harlow and Mary Evelyn Rigney Workman. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Kermit Adkins; two daughters Kathryn (Kent) Williams of Bidwell, Ohio and Donna Platz of Fultondale, AL; three grandchildren Craig Browning, Cori and Mike Williams; one great grandson Chad Browning; one sister JoAnn (Allen) McMaster; one brother Holace Workman; two special friends Agnes Short and Loretta Rankin. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Rev. George Holley. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV. 25709.
