 Shirley Jean Ellis, 58, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born March 6, 1954 in Chesapeake, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, Alfred Ellis; one son, Gary Lee Spears of Ohio; one daughter, Lena Mae Craig of Arizona, and a second son Andrew Michael Spears of California; three grandchildren, Cory Spears, Brianna McComas, Alexis Spears; one great granddaughter, Braleigh McComas; six brothers, Johnny, Mike, Dave, Larry, Chuck, and Glenn; three step children, Gary Ellis of Virginia, Kathy Lemley of Ohio, and Tammy Ellis of West Virginia; three step grandchildren, Brittanie , Corey, and Madison Lemley. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Christ Community Church, Proctorville, Ohio by Dr. Kermit Taylor. Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. Shirley was a kind and wonderful lady. She was like a second mom to me when we were kids. She will be truly missed by all that knew her. Lena, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

A wonderful lady that will truly be missed! Thinking of you, Lena and Gary, all of the wonderful times and praying for comfort in this difficult time for you. I am so thankful for Shirley Jean and the legacy she leaves behind. I can't imagine my life without this family in it and how it has shaped my own life. Thinking and Praying for her entire family!
