Funeral services for John Henry Golden, 79, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Golden died December 17, 2012 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Beaumont, John Henry was a lifelong resident of Silsbee. He served as a Hardin County Commissioner until retiring and proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Korean War.
Mr. Golden is preceded by his wife and the mother of his children, Martha Sue Golden.
He is survived by his wife Betty Plummer Golden of Silsbee; sons Robert Golden and wife Juli of Spurger and John Golden and wife Cindy of Lumberton; daughter Pam Hollyfield and husband Durman of Silsbee; step-children Tommy Golden and wife Nancy of San Antonio and Barbara Brown and husband Jewell of Silsbee; fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
