He was born in Houston, Texas on March 25, 1949 to Royce Lee and Penny (Tucker) Lee. Terry was adopted in 1955 by Ignatius Jim Trauth after his dad passed away. He lived with them in Ann Harbor, MI, and then moved to New Mexico, California and then back to Houston, Texas. Terry completed High School at Strake in Houston, Texas, then went on to the University of Houston to get his undergraduates degree. He was able to do some graduate work and taught as an instructor. He subsequently began to care for a employee who became disabled, the two of them moved to Kerrville where Terrys family had settled and where Terry himself became disabled and forced too retire. But in his retirement he continued to care for others in need, using his social working skills. Terry developed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which helped him work through the Church organizations like ACTS, CAFE and AA. His medical struggles began at the age of 5, worsened as a young adult, until the Lord finally rescued him. He is preceded in death by his dad Royce Lee.

Terry is survived by his loving parents Jim and Penny Trauth of Kerrville, TX; 2 sisters Jody Adams and husband Hank of Kerrville, TX and Lisa Lacy of Sunland, CA.; niece Katie Lacy of Sunland, CA.; nephew Andrew Lacy of Bellingham, WA.; 2 aunts Maurine Bishop of Houston, TX., and Betty Lee of La Port, TX.
