Betty Nadine Wendling Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1933 - 2012 A memorial service for Betty Nadine Wendling, 79, of Lumberton will be held 5:00pm Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Happy Valley Church in Kountze. Mrs. Wendling died December 28, 2012 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. She was the Tax Assessor for Lumberton ISD for over thirty years. Mrs. Wendling was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Wendling and brother Thomas Pitts. Survivors include two daughters Regina Hancock and Shelia Schoen and husband Joey all of Lumberton; son Phillip Glenn Wendling of Lumberton; two sisters Marvis Nix of Beaumont and Beverly Henderson of Lumberton; brother in law Sam Henderson of Lumberton; two grandchildren Megan Barrow and husband Jason of Lumberton and Katie Wheeler and husband Brandon of Kountze; four great grandchildren Morgan, Landen, Logan and Gary. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty's memory to the charity of your choice.

Shelia and Regina I am so sorry about your Moms passing. I just found out tonight totally by accident. I am so sorry for that. I really admired your Mom and always loved talking to her at WalMart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Had I known I would have been there. I am so sorry for that. If you need anything call me please.

I was so sorry to read of Betty's death. We went all through Elementary, Junior and Senior High School together. When I moved to Lumberton I was so pleased to be re-acquainted with her again.

Sheila, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I know that this kind of loss is hard, and although I might mean well, my words will never take your pain away right now. Just know that she is not suffering now, and is in the presence of our Lord Jesus. She was such a good and sweet lady that will be missed by many. Kathy
