1938 - 2013
Marcella Fay Scarberry, 74 of South Point, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord Saturday January 5, 2013 at home. She was born December 16, 1938 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late Dora and Nellie White Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Scarberry Jr.; daughter Brenda Farris; great grandson Cody Webber; brother Charles Johnson; and a sister Thelma White. She was a member of Burlington Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons Roy Scarberry of South Point and Billy Scarberry of Chesapeake; one daughter Janie Blake of Chesapeake; two sisters Stella Powers of Proctorville and Joann Ruggles of Chesapeake; one brother Michael Johnson of Chesapeake; 18 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend Helen McClure of South Point, Ohio. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery Crown City, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday January 7, 2013 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Sorry to read of Marcella's Passing. We grew up in Athalia together. My grandmother Nellie Miller , thought she was a very pretty girl and would often say that when she seen her. Prayers to MArcella's family.
