I worked with Beverly at the Housing Authority years ago and fell in love with her like everyone else. She played piano at my wedding. I just saw where she went onto Heaven and I am just heart broken. My prayers to the family. She was a sweet, kind soul.

Bev McKinney was an exceptional LADY! We co-taught a 2nd grade Sunday School class for about 3 years at Fellowship Baptist Church back in the mid 1970's, She was a joyful spirited woman who transferred her joy of living to those who knew her personally and probably to many who did not. Her smile could light up any room. She was a delightful person to be around. When I could not make it to class, she readily took over and did a great job, I am sure. Anything she did she did WELL. Her musical talents and her ability to relate the love of Jesus radiated throughout those lives that she touched. Sorry that I did not make it to her viewing or her funeral. I saw it in the paper after her funeral. Bob and family I know you are hurting now. But we shall SEE her again in that BRIGHT CITY on the EVERGREEN SHORE! Hallelujah Square is just over there...The Crystal River and the JOYS of HEAVEN are hers now. She held a wonderful TESTIMONY for her love of JESUS "THE CHRIST"...My concolences are extended with LOVE and PRAYERS for HIS GRACE that truly is SUFFICIENT for each of you! There's no more pain nor are there any more tears in HEAVEN. LOVE YOU ALL~~~

Last year I had the opportunity to have piano lessons with Beverly. I will always remember and appreciate her patience and the encouragement she gave me as an adult beginner of piano. I hope the cherished memories of a life well lived will offer some comfort to all her family and friends.

We will miss our sweet piano teacher at True Impact Performing Arts. What in impact Beverly made on all of her students! A wonderful Christian role model for children and our dear friend. It is never goodbye. We will see you later.

I am so sorry to learn the loss of a wonderful lady. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to reacquaint with her this past year at True Impact Performing Arts where she taught piano. Debra, you and your family are in our prayers. I can still remember those days of working with her at Taylor & Co. Remember that the Lord will not leave you comfortless. He will hold you up during this time of sorrow. Love you.

Hello, I wish the best for you and the family in this time of mourning. Bev was one of the greatest people I knew. She was always very friendly and willing to help me out with any questions that I had. I know that she is in a place where she is no longer suffering or in pain and looking down on you until you can see her again. May you remember all the good times that was spent together.

I was a student in the music department at Marshall and will never forget Mrs. Mckinney. Always greeted you with a warm smile! If we ever needed any help, she wouldn't hesitate to do whatever she could. Such a wonderful person! You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Beverly McKinney's name is definitely intertwined with my childhood memories of Fellowship Baptist. She was always serving in her quiet, faithful godly fashion. No Junior Church or Junior Choir memory would be complete without Beverly sitting at the piano. My prayers and thoughts are with the family during this time, not only of sadness, because she will truly be missed, but also of comfort because of the Hope that this wonderful, sweet family has in our Savior.

There are no words to describe the loss to all who knew Beverly. When bad things happen to such a good person as Beverly, we can only guess that her spirit was needed elsewhere. Rest in peace, Beverly.

Beverly will be missed at the College of Fine Arts. Personally, and I know this is a tad silly, but I will miss seeing her occasionally at the vending machine around 3pm-ish. We always joked about the "3 o'clock slump" I'll think about her every time I buy a cupcake or peanut M&Ms. Wishing comfort for her family, she was a beautiful person.

So sorry to hear your Mother is gone from you, but know she is rejoicing with her Savior. We leave town tomorrow morning before your service for a planned trip so will be unable to attend, but we will pray for you and your family. So glad I got to visit with her in the hospital recently.

I am saddened to learn of Beverly's passing. I haven't seen her for many years due my moving away from Huntington. She remains a sweet memory in my mind and heart from our time together at Fellowship and having Debbie in my class. Heaven is richer because of her presence there, though I know she'll be greatly missed by family and friends. May the God who knows our sorrows give you all the comfort only He can give.

I had the pleasure of meeting Beverly when I was getting my Masters degree at Marshall University. She was so helpful and nice. She would go out of her way to help you in any way she could. I also remember her being a very talented artist. I am not sure of the details surrounding her illness, but at least we can be assured that she is no longer suffering. We love you Beverly!!

For five and a half years, I went into the music office and spoke to Beverly. She answered my questions, donated her own artwork so that I could help those affected by the tsunami, and she always had a smile and a hello. She touched every person in the music department, and we were all very lucky to have known her. The Marshall university music department was honored to have her. She was greatly loved, and will be missed.

The School of Music and Theater will never be the same without this wonderful woman. For all of us who have graduated or participated in the music program at Marshall, Beverly played a part in all of our lives. Glad she will no longer have to suffer but so sad to hear that she is gone. Best wishes and a heartfelt condolence to all of her family and closest friends.
