Funeral services for William Earl Crawford, 80, of Silsbee will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Farmer Funeral Home with a military graveside service following in Fred Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Crawford died January 6, 2013 at his residence.
A native of Fred and a lifelong resident of Silsbee, Earl was a plate fitter in construction and retired from Genco Steel. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean war.
Earl is preceded in death by son George Crawford, grandson Ryan Miller and great grandson Dawson Shaw.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Watts Crawford of Silsbee; daughters Cheryl Simmons and husband Kenny of Giddings and Tina McGallion and husband Melvin of Silsbee; brothers Isaac Garsee of Spurger, J T Crawford of Warren and Arnold Crawford of Fred; sisters Helen Chance and Myrtle Hirsch, both of Fred; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
